Getting Started

In some PUDs you won't have to harvest anything at all, and all the gold and wood you need is in your stores from the beginning. But most will require that you collect at least one of these, and probably both. The basic strategies for collecting should be obvious:

• Build your Town Hall as close to the gold mine as possible
  Even if there are two gold mines, don't build right between them. Choose one and build as close to it as you can. This will ensure that you mine gold as quickly as possible in the start of the game.

• Build your Mill near a dense wood, but away from the Town Hall
  This will keep your wood cutters from getting in the way of the gold miners, and speed collection of wood between and around the two buildings.
